To make giving easy, ShelterBox Australia has partnered with Gathered Will, one of Australia’s largest and most trusted end-of-life services site. Completing a will with Gathered Here takes less than 10 minutes, is absolutely free and easy to do.
With a Gift in your Will to ShelterBox, you can be there to help families survive the immediate impact of disaster for the next generation. Your special gift will make a lasting impact on your global family by providing shelter, security and safety to those left most vulnerable, whenever and wherever disaster strikes.
If you are considering leaving a gift in your Will to ShelterBox, thank you. Any gift, large or small, will help us reach more families, allowing them to rebuild and recover after disaster.
ShelterBox is the difference between disaster and recovery and I am proud to offer a Gift in my Will to enable that work to continue.
Tionge, along with his wife Mary and their three children were among the thousands of people affected by the floods that happened in Malawi in February 2024.
The home that Tionge had poured so much time into constructing for his family, had been so badly damaged by the floods that they had no choice but to leave it.
ShelterBox supported Tionge and many more families with tarpaulins, groundsheets, and tools for people to start making their damaged homes watertight. We also provided training on ways to use the tools.
Additionally, we also provided cash grants to help people re-build their livelihoods.
First, I must thank ShelterBox and CARE for assisting us today, we will be able to survive as a family and try to invest the cash which will be received into small scale businesses, the profits will be used to support our family needs.
A gift in your Will can provide life-saving essential aid to families affected by disasters in the future, ensuring that your compassion lives on.
My parents would be delighted to know that as a family, we can stand with another family, we don’t know where or when, but a family who are going through their biggest moment of need, and we can do something to help them through that.
